This wikia has grown fantastically well over the last two years. While I'm still proud of this community we've grown, I feel that the wikia has taken a turn for the worst. I am highlighting the fact that a handful of articles on here aren't written properly, such as pages with only a line written but with an entire infobox filled out for a planet - for example. I don't fully approve the use of infoboxes, simply because people seem to be using them more than the page itself. However, if you happen to have a lot of information already written down as notes for an article (such as the planet's history), then I guess an infobox wouldn't hurt in this situation. I feel that people are using an infobox as a way of getting around the…Read more >

Hello space wanderers! I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a happy new year! (let's hope 2017 is better!)
I draw your attention today because I'm still making tweaks, additions and changes to my own wikia. I have named it SE: New Worlds, and you can find the link on my profile page, or here 'cause I'm so nice. I haven't spoken much about it because I still need to think about the timeline and the events that take place that bring the human race into space.
I've also decided that I want people to modify Space Engine to add their planets, moons, stars or asteroids. What I am forbidding is the addition of new galaxies. There are a billions of galaxies out there and lots of them are pretty big!
However, I will soon be turning my attention towar…Read more >
There's a new forum! I'm thinkin' we should make a new thread there.Read more >
This challenge is simple, try to find an Earth-like planet with the least amount of gravity, the planet can orbit any class of star, it must be a planet not a moon. The atmospheric pressure must be atleast 0.25 percent of the Earth's.Read more >
So there are flags for a lot of the governments invented here, but one has yet to receive one: The Confederacy of Humanity. Now, I want to change that so I want to have a contest where people will post a possible picture of a flag. As for how it will be chosen, I am still deciding. Maybe I will pick one, maybe we put it up to a vote or a mix of both.
I look forward to see what you come up with! Oh, and you can make up to three flags per user. I will say you have until August 1, but I am willing to extend it to August 7 if need be.Read more >
So... Many months ago (maybe just a month ago), I made a page on the Rexlorians, and until now, I did not know I forgot the category "Alien Species". So guess what I had to do. I had to finally add it. That is all for now!Read more >
Welcome back writers! Man, I love making blogs...
In today's blog, I discuss the current situation with my new project and what I have in store for the future.... (for anything on this wiki)
1. I've been thinking about the stories Morbiusgreen mentioned in his 400 Pages! blog and that my story ideas are to be based around a certain character from the Orcians species. I will make drafts/storyboards for my story, or stories if you want more of them. So far, not much has been planned for the stories... (I'm a big fan of these ellipses :D )
2. Continue my project for another few weeks. Now I'm terrible at keeping a promise. This is a major step for me as I don't usually plan ahead too far, however, this is the one project I will keep going until…Read more >
Greetings once again Millenialists (If you don;t like that name that's okay)!
As I'm sure you've noticed, the wiki has undergone somewhat of a refit. I darkened it a bit and added in a background picture, which is actually the first one I ever took in any version of Space Engine. I did figure out how to change the name of the Wiki from Space Engine Wikia to something else, but I'm holding off on that until I know what it is you all would like. The one option I have heard so far is The Tenth (or 10th) Millenium, which is an awesome one, but when I extend the timeline to 100,000 CE, it may become outdated. Perhaps The 100th Millenium? In any case, I won't change the name until I extend the timeline so we have plenty of time to come up with th…Read more >
We hit 400 pages recently! I've been around since 11th July 2015, about 10 months on this wiki. In honour of 400 pages, Morbiusgreen, the creator of the wiki, mentioned he would like to extend the timeline / year cap to 100,000 C.E. Honestly, I'm all up for this! :D In this blog, I ask YOU for any ideas you have that could fit in well with an extended timeline. Perhaps a third, fourth or more galactic wars? An intergalactic war? Share your ideas here on the blog post. Personally, I would love to see an intergalactic war that we could all contribute to.
Thanks for your time.

Greetings once again my fellow writers and Space Engine lovers!
It's the beginning of May, meaning this wiki is almost a year old. I started it on May 28 of last year on an impulse, and look at what the impulse has become. We just hit 400 pages today, which might not be much compared to other more popular wikis, but I am definitely shocked and very happy about it.
A few brief ideas for you all:
1. I'm not sure when, but I would honestly love to see some short stories (or if you're that good with computers, short films) based in this universe somewhere. Not on here, but on another website, possibly reddit or some other forum. If anyone has ideas for this, let me know and I'll take it under consideration. I'd like this to happen by the end of t…Read more >
Hello everyone! Here comes the second blog post of 2016, and let's just get started!
So if you haven't been on the new forums, which currently remains inactive, I posted a new thread talking about a "galactic cold war". I mentioned a timeline but I've decided to change it up. Deep breathe, let's begin!
Shortly after the end of the Second Galactic War in 9952, the Confederacy of Humanity began intercepting several signals originating from the Andromeda galaxy. Two civilisations were beginning to explore beyond their home galaxy and decided to set their targets to the Milky Way galaxy. Both of these civilisations are early Type IV's (on the Kardashev Scale) and they form the Republic of Andromeda, along with many other civilisations.
The signa…Read more >
I'm thinking of writing a document about a system's discovery, in the style of a proper scientific article just because.
Can anyone suggest a system for me to write on? I have a bit too much spare time right now.Read more >
I like to draw in my free time, but lately I've been needing inspiration. I've thought maybe I could do sketches of you guys' alien species. Not only would I get to keep doing my hobby, I'd also be contributing to the community by making lots of pretty pictures. If any of you have seen my sketch of a Caren I did a while ago, then you know what to expect. They won't be too fancy or anything, they'll just be simple pencil sketches. They'd be free of cost, of course.
So if anyone is interested in me drawing their alien species for them, I'd love to get in touch.Read more >
Hello Space Engineers!
Wow. It's been a couple months since I created this wiki and now it has many loyal posters and 170 pages, with more on the way. I'm sorry I haven't contributed as often as before, but I recently got a new job and haven't had the time to post.
Just a couple of announcements. Many of you have been editing planets in the program to terraform them and so far I've let it slide. However, I'm asking that from now on when you edit a planet you upload the SC file for it and place it around some nearby star for us to look at. I'll try and do the same. You can post it in the comments or the page itself, doesn't matter, as long as we can download and look at the edited planet itself.
Second announcement: I'm encouraging people to a…Read more >
I've been planning out this idea for a while and now I want your feedback on it before I start creating pages for it.
My idea is the Core Worlds Alliance, an alliance that involves three civilizations that play a major role in it and several other civilizations inhabiting the core of the Milky Way galaxy. Two of these civilizations are mid-Type II civilizations while the third civilization is a late-Type II civilization. The Core Worlds Alliance (abbreviated as CWA) was founded in 4482 and lasted for 4574 years until 9056 when the first Galactic War broke out. By the way, I haven't named these civilizations neither have I discovered their homeplanets. The Galactic War had lasted 227 years, from 9056 to 9283. During this time,…Read more >
It's been a while since my last post. Since my last post I've completed my top 3 priorities and don't plan on completing the last two. Now I have a new list. 1. Create articles about the Vannaheimr and Valhallan kingdoms in the Carina Nebula. 2. Create an article for Valhalla. 3, create articles for the Valhallan and Vannaheimr minor colonies, I might never do that last one.Read more >
Here is a list of some ideas and projects I'm working on or will work on during my spare time. This is more of a to-do list for myself. Feedback is welcome.
1. Terragen Co. A multi planetary terraforming government that had a major hand in terraforming the sol system. 2. Mintaka, site of some of the most violent battles in the second age, half terraformed backwater world. 3. Discovery of exotic matter on planets close to black holes and some neutron stars. 4. Create a model of the URSS Senate, upload to space engine and add picture to URSS page. 5. Senate Station wikia page.
Will post again as I come up with more projects.Read more >
