Kotalia is a cool O-Class planet inhabited by multicellular life in its oceans. Kotalia was discovered in 2273. It is the fifth planet of a brown dwarf type star (RS 8409-1353-8-11901533-386 A in 0.9.7.2). It is engulfed in ice on its western hemisphere, and water on it's eastern hemisphere. It is about 282.9 light years from the Sol System. This planet has thin rings of ice around it. It orbits its star at 0.1 AU. It may once have had moons but not anymore. It has a sister planet called Bircerl.
Kotalia has a diameter of 13319.9 km. Its temperature is -87.5 °C. It's ESI is 0.881. It has a rotation period of 65 Earth days which is the length of its year as well and is 4.3 billion years old. The planet is engulfed in ice on the night side and water on the day side. It orbits in such a bizarre manner that we are unable to get a photograph of the Ice covered side. It has a gravitational pull of 0.8 G. Another characteristic of this planet to note is the rings. The rings are tiny planetoids and asterioids of ice. The surface, however, is very smooth and flat. There have been no recent impacts.
The atmosphere of this planet is as thin as Earth's with an atmospheric pressure of 1.6 atm, except that there is a massive storm on the watery side. The storm is very cold, often going down to -150 °C as it continuously rages.
Life on Kotalia is very endurable. They have learned to adapt to the harsh, cold temperatures of the planet. The ruling creature are a carnivorous creature that is similar to a Lamprey, except bigger. They hunt in packs and devour the minuscule fish of the ocean. However, unfortunately doom awaits life on Kotalia. The ice side suggests that the planet is getting colder and colder, and the storm isn't helping. Scientists say that the planet will be covered in ice, and for life to survive is unlikely, unless they find a way to produce water.
